FINISHED with 14

I just finished chapter fourteen of Possessions.  I plan to sleep in tomorrow, then edit it.  And what that means to all you people is that the update will be some time tomorrow afternoon. 

It took me so long to write this chapter.  Reason?  It is really long!  This one is my longest yet, coming in at a grand total of 10072 words.  (This of course includes ANs and Review Responses)  I had originally predicted 10k words, so I'm really impressed that I got so close of an estimation. 

Okay, and for anyone already interested in the next chapter, I'll go ahead and talk about that here.  Chapter Fifteen is going to be pretty rough for me to write.  If I can, I will try to have it up within a reasonable time period.  It isn't going to be as long as Fourteen, but that is because I don't plan on having quite as much happen. 

But don't worry, I still gave it a rating of 8/10 in reference to action level.  That's even with Fourteen.  Prepare to enter the spiral downwards to the end of Part One.

Still Typing 14. . .

Okay, it's been a while.  I know.  But I have maybe three hundred words left of Seto's POV, then I have to type up what I have of Mokuba's. . . then finish writing Mokuba's.  It is a long list.  I realize that.  But I am working on it.  I figure I can get the rest of Seto's POV finished today, and hopefully type up the rest of what I've written.  Then I'll just have to get inspired to write the rest of what happens to my little Kaiba. 

This is my ROUGH plan for the next update.  Typing a lot today, plotting and writing tomorrow and Thursday, then editing Friday.  Maybe I'll have time to update this weekend. 

However, I think I should point out that there is a chance this won't happen.  My sister is pregnant, and this baby is going to be coming any day now.  Whenever that happens, I won't be near my computer.  IF my niece comes this week, I won't be able to update.  Who knows when it'll happen though.

Blogger

I got really annoyed when Blogger went down for like, two days.  I had something to post about in regards to Possessions, and I couldn't!  It was basically torture. 

So, remember how in the last post I commented on how crabby I was?  Something happened immediately following.  I don't know what it was, but it was amazing. 

I ended up rewriting Possessions Fourteen.  The same stuff happens, but I wrote differently than normal.  I'm not really sure if any of you will be able to see the difference, but it is there.  And I'm so happy about that.  However, that does mean that I didn't work any more on Mokuba's POV, which will take the longest time. 

Hopefully, I'll have the next chapter up some point next week.  But no promises.

Bleh

I've had a pretty crappy day.  I hate family drama, but moving home for the summer, it had to come at some point. 

And although I'm not in a great mood, I'm going to try to write some.  If the writing isn't very good, I'll just have to stop.  But as it happens, my weekend cleared up, so maybe the update will come sooner.  Haha- but maybe not.  For anyone who follows me on Fanfiction, you know how long I can take to update.  Especially any fans of Arose Power. I spents ages between updates for that fic. 

My mind has been reeling about how to write out this particular chapter.  It is going to be really long and complex, so it is going to take some effort.  I'm not used to having to put large amounts of effort into each chapter.  Haha.  Surprising?  I usually just go with my first draft - with minor proof reading. 

Oh, and if anyone wants to beta the chapters I have posted, by all means, send me a message.  I'd be glad for someone else to proof read them.

Chapter Four- FtD

I just posted Chapter Four of From the Dead.  I realize that this isn't my most popular story, but it really is important to me.  This was the first piece of writing (other than poetry) that I had ever completed, so it represents a large step in my writing career.  It proved to me that I was capable of finishing something. 

Of course, now it is unfinished.  I like the plot line, but the writing was that of a fifteen year old.  I'm better than that now, at least, I'd like to think that.  So I'm redoing it.  Slowly, as Possessions is my main focus. 

Oh!  And for anyone out there who is interested in a Possessions update, I'll do that too. 

I worked on Mokuba's POV yesterday.  I'm not actually done with Seto's POV yet, but Mokuba's is going to be really long.  I'm about at two thousand words and the section is just getting started.  Writing chase scenes is pretty difficult, so that is going to take some time.  Don't expect an update this week.  Sorry.

Writer's Block

I hated not being able to write.  I'm going to blame my procrastination on being sick, but I can't actually tell you that being sick has anything to do with it.  For some odd reason, I just haven't felt like writing over the past few days.  (in which time I've been sick) It sounds insane, since I'm so excited about this chapter, but I can't get it written. 

Maybe I'm just worried that it won't turn out right, so I'm going very VERY slowly.  That might be it.  Or maybe I've just thought it over so many times it seems kind of boring.  Either way, the chapter is coming along slowly.  But hey, I got the review responses written.  Haha. 

Want to know something cool?  I have been making a spreadsheet for my daily writing stuff, including Possessions.  And I made this chart that I found very interesting.  On a scale of 1-10, I ranked each chapter of Possessions based on how exciting it was.  Then I compared that to the number of reviews.  The lines almost exactly have the same shape.  It is so cool to look at.

Fourteen

I started typing up chapter Fourteen last night.  I'm currently home for the summer, and I have NOTHING to do.  Which is bad news for me, but great news for you all!  That means that my time will be filled with writing and plotting. 

Notes about Chapter Fourteen:  I didn't know this when I started it, but it is going to be a really long chapter.  My longest one yet, in fact.  And my last update was the new record length at 8004 words.  I'm predicting this one to be closer to 10k, if not more. 

Why is it so long?  Because Mokuba's stupid POV decided to be really intense.  Like, there are several parts:

1. Intro
2. Confrontation
3. Attempt to Escape
4. Captured
5. Walking
6. Dark Camp
7. Talking
8. Revenge
9. More Revenge

Nine different parts, and those are just for his POV.  Of course, some are much longer than others, but I'm just letting you all know why this one might take a bit to get online.  And when I say a bit, I mean like, two weeks.  Which is actually a rather fast update for me.

Done!

The title for this post is so fitting, as I just finished my Freshman year, and the next chapter of Possessions!  And because I was so pumped about finishing, I went ahead and posted it. 

For some odd reason, the chapter just felt. . . different than the others.  I really couldn't tell you why it was that way.  However, the next chapter is going to be totally awesome!  All of the excitement that has been somewhat lacking over the past few updates is going to be in full force.  Here is a short list of what all the next chapter contains:

• Let the war begin.
• Send Seto back to the dragons.
• Send Mokuba back to Kuriboh
• A kidnapping
• Violence

And mostly in that order.  I think I may have switched one or two of them.  You guys don't even know, I have been looking forward to this chapter for months.  And not just this one, but the next one too.  And wait, hold up, (I'm doing some counting here).  The next five chapters are all going to be awesome.   Let's see what they include:

• More violence
• Several more kidnappings
• And evil party
• Ground rules
• A reunion (You knew it had to come SOMEWHERE, right?)
• Character Death
• A new POV
• War

And once more, not in that order.  I've got to keep some things a secret, eh?  But I'm hoping to keep you interested by giving little sneak peaks.

Finals

Finals are stupid.  Yes.  If we haven't dropped the class, we probably know most all of the stuff by now.  There is no need to test us over stuff that we haven't done in months. 

In case you can't tell, I'm studying for a final.  And I'm bored!  I would so much rather be finishing up Possessions Thirteen, but NOOOOO.  I've got to learn all about America in the 50s and 60s.  How about, I ask my grandparents, and they tell me.  Then I don't have to take this test at EIGHT IN THE MORNING.  No one can think that early.  Everyone in the class is bound to fail. 

But I'm nearly done with chapter Thirteen.  So if you keep your eyes open, you'll be seeing an update here soon.

Not up yet. . .

Yeah, I haven't posted the next chapter of Possessions yet.  Or From the Dead.  What can I say other than I'm just a lazy beast?  Seriously, that is the only reason they aren't finished.  I really only have a few thousands words between the two left to type up, and yet. . . no update. 

Okay, so, one reason (and an actual one for once!) that Possessions Thirteen isn't up yet is because I've been working on Possessions Fourteen.  I'm so pumped for that chapter.  You have no idea.  It is basically the beginnings of the Light/Dark war, Seto gets sent back to the dragons, and poor freaking Mokuba.  Remember how I've been talking about warnings and dark stuff that was coming up?  Yeah.  Fourteen is the beginning of that.  Fourteen is the dark stuff for Mokuba, Fifteen is for Seto.  I'm such a mean author.

Thirteen

How did it happen?  I really have no idea, and yet, it was only half an hour ago. 

I figured out exactly how Possessions will end. 

Of course, I'm not going to give you all very specific details, but just know, I'm really excited.  I had been struggling with the fact that in order for this to end happily for Seto, Mokuba, Yami, and the others, the monsters will have to die.  And that, my dear readers, is a sad thought indeed.  I mean, how many of you want to see Krin, Kisara, and Kara die in the end?  I'm pretty sure that most of you like them, and I do too. 

And that was what I was having problems with.  How could it be a happy-ish ending if three of the main characters were killed? 

I figured it out. 

So, stick around for the next chapters.  Thirteen should be up some time around the end of this week, or the beginning of next.  After that, start looking for updates much more frequently.  Summer and all. 

Oh!  And the warning that I have been giving still stands.  Watch out.  The darkness is coming, and I'm not talking about just the beasts.  There will be some dark themes in chapters Fourteen and Fifteen.  I'm going to have to post warnings on those.  Remember:  This isn't really a upbeat story.

Possessions Twelve

I just finished typing Possessions Twelve.  Wow.  That took me way longer than it should have.  I wanted to explain why it only had one POV instead of the two I usually do. 

It is very simple.   Nothing is going on with Mokuba.  Basically, I had one scene in mind with him, and two chapters until something BIG happens with the younger Kaiba.  So I just made Seto's POV longer than usual, and I'm working on the next chapter now.  It isn't working for me right now. 

But just another reminder for anyone who didn't see the post with the warning.  Possessions is about to get very dark.  Not just in the sense that it will have more Dark monsters, but in the dark sense.  Things are about to get ugly.  And not very happy-making.  You've been warned.

Spanish

I couldn't update last night because of a stupid Spanish test today.  It is insane how hard some people find these tests.  I mean, the teacher gives you a list of questions, then you answer them, in Spanish of course, then just say them to her.  Why do people find this so difficult to do?

I scored perfectly, by the way. 

So, my birthday is coming up, and I am going to try very hard to update as a present to all of you.  It is like a reverse birthday or something.  But like I said earlier, I just need to type and edit it.

Picnic!

I went on a picnic today!  The weather was really nice, so we went out to a park for one of my best friend's birthday.  Other than getting a MASSIVE blister, I had a nice time.

But since I wasn't near a computer, I didn't get much writing done today. . .or yesterday.  And I left my notebook with Possessions Twelve in it back at my apartment, so I couldn't even type it up this weekend.  Hopefully, I will get that online within the week.  From the Dead - Four, that one will take a bit longer.  I am doing some serious revisions to that story.

Annoyed!

My internet service was disconnected for NO REASON!  I'm super annoyed about that, and that is the reason I haven't gotten to update anything for the past week.  I have the next chapters entirely written, but I need to type the up.  Without internet, I was so bored. 

Poor pioneers.  What did they do for fun?  Read?  Haha!

From the Dead

I just typed up and published the new chapter of FtD.  It amazes me how much my writing style has changed over the past few years.  You guys should seriously see the original-original draft of the story.  I still have it.  It is entirely handwritten in a notebook I call Blue Three.  It is so awful, I laugh reading it. 

But I really like this new chapter.  I've entirely changed the Seth-Seto dynamic, and now I feel that the story is going to make much more sense than it did originally. 

Also, I've always wondered if everyone understood the title.  From the Dead - as in, Seth is back from the dead, and so is "the villain."  (I'm not putting the name in case anyone hasn't read the old version) The sequel, Arose Power, is supposed to be a continuation of the first story's title.  So it ends up being read, From the Dead Arose Power.  Like, power came from someone who had died.  Make sense? 

I had a third one planned out too.  Without End.  So that would have made it, From the Dead Arose Power without End.  But I'm not going to write the third.  Oh well.

Back Again!

So, I've decided to start blogging again.  Mostly because I'm sick of typing up those little notes on my Fanfiction profile.  Also because the more I work on Possessions and talk with my reviewers, the more contact I want to have with them.  I've got Twitter, AIM, and now I'm back to Blogger. 

This time, I've even added a nice little set of pictures of myself.  Haha- I always wonder what authors look like, so I don't want to be hypocritical. 

A few words about Possessions:
Okay readers, I've got some news.  I don't know if I would call it good or bad, but it certainly is news.  Chapter Fourteen is going to be DARK.  So is Chapter Fifteen.  Yes, that is a pun, but also very true.  I hadn't expected the story to turn out this way, but just out of nowhere this wave of inspiration took over, and now I have an entirely different plotline.  But it is much, much darker.

I just thought I would give you fair warning.
